And soon you’ll fall down to Earth…

The Lord of the Flies
I look down upon you
But from where do I stand?
On shoulders of giants?
Through eyes of a man?
In empty places forbidden?
Or places you’ve seen?
Perhaps in a memory or maybe a dream…
errant thoughts give you away
Kicked down the street you say
In bottles and stone
Huddled en masse to find you’re alone
Don’t run
You can not
Don’t cry
You will not
For the Devil himself
Has cast you this lot
So pray to the crutch, the pill, the device
While all things beneath you bid on your price
And heed not a warning not a bit of advice
As those that shall have you, shall have you on ice
errant thoughts lead you astray
Know that the Naked dance for but a few eyes
The Under, the Over, and the Lord of the Flies

Sun Up Sun Down

The fly walks on
Another number first
Sundays for the paperdolls
The children very versed
Underneath this open face
Underneath this net
Not one worthy line was cast
Not one word was spent

Architects
Sightless minded architects
Of histories passing lore
Could not foresee the entropy of opening knowledge’s door
So now we sit
Crouched in ourselves, hiding from the night
To sit and pick all of the scabs from our synthetic light
