The Milky Way

“For only a few percent of its 240 million-year orbit around the Milky Way galaxy does our Solar System pass through the path of Sagittarius debris,” Majewski said. “Remarkably, stars from Sagittarius are now raining down onto our present position in the Milky Way. Stars from an alien galaxy are relatively near us. We have to re-think our assumptions about the Milky Way galaxy to account for this contamination.”

  1. galactic energy could definitely be a contributing factor…. that would support the fact that the whole solar system is experiencing “global warming”….. but let us not forget the impact of the feedback loops of the earth itself….

hmm… so what if the facts point towards “global warming” being a natural phenomenon… not really caused by human endeavours…. just slightly increased by our efforts… maybe invest in some equator real estate… snowboard our asses through the next ice age.. awesome!

  2. It’s an interesting article Mr. Dooright. I think it’s something to definitely be concerned about as well. I wonder how long it will be until the cooling process begins. Good article. Thanks.
