The Milky Way
“For only a few percent of its 240 million-year orbit around the Milky Way galaxy does our Solar System pass through the path of Sagittarius debris,” Majewski said. “Remarkably, stars from Sagittarius are now raining down onto our present position in the Milky Way. Stars from an alien galaxy are relatively near us. We have to re-think our assumptions about the Milky Way galaxy to account for this contamination.”

Classically Trained Violinist Gets Harassed by Police.

“Here are the salient facts of this case: I was leaving MSP airport by bicycle after a flight from California. I was legally operating my bicycle completely in accord with MN statutes and MAC airport ordinances. I was following all posted signs. There were NO signs at that time prohibiting bicycles. I was rudely accosted by an officer in a passing squad car, came to a stop, and was immediately threatened with mace and taser if I didn’t get off the bike and up on the curb. I did not understand the reason for this outrage.”
From his about me…

I Wanna Be There When You’re Happy.
I was never a huge fan of the Smashing Pumpkins. With that being said, I did enjoy quite a bit of their work even though it was a little self-indulgent at times.
Some years on now and the music industry is collapsing under its own sense of self worth. Bands focus little on the art of a good lyric and even less on the music. The world literally is choking on the fumes of the glossy cover. The cover of Rolling Stone couldn’t be any more bubble gum these days than if bubble yum were on it. The fashion of the day is to dress in causes that masquerade as lost.
Even the politicians don’t know how to fake it anymore. You can turn on any one of hundreds of channels and get the same sick feeling. One bullshit line after another saying why, how, who, and where. No one ever says when anymore. A war with no end. A pill for everything except disease. Fourth meal. Corporatism killing capitalism. Killers in gun controlled areas causing greater gun control. Idiocrats hiding under the skirt of socialism. Education doesn’t educate. Death of the free thinker, the inventor, the self.
I digress. I never thought I would be saying this but I’m glad to say here’s a new song from the Smashing Pumpkins… Maybe the album Zeitgeist will live up to its name. Without further ado… The Smashing Pumpkins - Tarantula
